The AFF course is based on eight levels of achievement (normally one skydive per level). Before jumping each day, you will receive thorough refresh training. You will practice all the procedures for both the skydive and canopy ride until yourself and the instructors are confident that you can complete the skydive safely. Following each skydive level, your instructors will debrief you using the video footage of the jump and then prepare you for your next skydive. The adrenaline kicks in as you and your instructor jump from the aircraft and begin accelerating to terminal velocity. Freefall will last between 50 to 60 seconds and you will reach speeds of around 120 mph. At 6,000ft your instructor will deploy the parachute. After the parachute has been deployed, you'll be able to talk to your instructor and even try steering it. You'll practice the landing position and have time to enjoy the amazing views. You will then be introduced to one of our experienced tandem instructors. Your instructor will tell you everything you need to know about the equipment, talk you through the aircraft flight, the skydive, the parachute ride and landing, and will help you practise the required freefall and landing body positions. Following your training, you'll be provided with a skydiving jumpsuit and fitted into your harness. You and your instructor will then board the aircraft. Once inside the aircraft your instructor will secure your harness to theirs and the aircraft will take off.
